November 18, 2019

KWESST today announced that it has concluded a technology licencing deal with AerialX Inc. of Vancouver BC for the manufacture and worldwide sale of AerialX’s DroneBullet, .a small hand-launchable drone missile that can autonomously intercept and neutralize hostile drones with high-speed kinetic impact.

KWESST Executive Chairman, David Luxton, remarked that “DroneBullet is an elegant, expedient and affordable solution for neutralizing small unmanned aerial systems (sUAVs) used against friendly forces for hostile surveillance or weaponized attack, which is a growing and persistent threat in theaters of conflict.”

KWESST will be adapting AerialX’s prototype units for serial production and anticipates that units will be available for customer testing in Mid 2020.
