KWESST opens office and development facility in Ottawa

October 15, 2017

KWESST today announced the opening of its office and development facilities at 260 Terence Matthews Crescent, Ottawa, Canada.

KWESST was founded by Jeff MacLeod and a team of senior defence Industry technical staff led by Warren Downing, General Manager.  KWESST is developing a line of products based on its Tactical Awareness and Situational Control System (“TASCS”) technology.

TASCS enables first-time-ever networking of ground force weapons systems so they can receive situational and targeting information.  TASCS effectively turns “dumb” indirect fire weapons systems like grenade launchers and mortars into “smart” systems with no modification required to the weapon or ammunition. The first demonstration units are scheduled for availability in late 2017.
